when I first saw these docks with SSD slot, I thought it was a cool idea. but it really increases the risk of drive corruption if you forget to unmount the drive on the computer before pulling the dock cable. Yes, it's the same as if the drive is a separate device, but I find myself needing to leave and pulling the dock cable all the time and having the ssd on there too puts it at risk.

This might be good for a Mac mini, but for a MacBook, I also concur it's a problem when you pull it out before properly ejecting it.

Worked like a charm. My current hub is struggling so this is great timing. Thanks, OP.

It's not discounted at checkout? Might be limited to some accounts then, unfortunately.

I use hubs with laptops to add extra external usb sticks, card readers, hard drives. but what is this with a phone? the picture with the kid, what, offloading phone media like youtube creator videos to an nvme 2230 that you stick in the inside of this thing and then stick it magnetically on the back of your phone? so it expands your phones gigabytes?

It works good for a storage solution for an iPad or iPhone.
