would this be a better solution for a backup battery on my dell server than a traditional UPS?

I've never used a UPS, but I using this as backup for my personal gaming desktop and work laptop. Including 5 monitors and a printer. Besides power rating the one thing you should look for is howany ms it takes to switch over. Anything under 20ms should be good enough for sensivite electronics like desktops and servers.

Depends. If the total UPS draw is 10 - 20 amps, you need pure sine wave, your off/on/off back-back AC outages barely stays on for 30 min between outages, you have / like solar, or you have ambitions for a mobile server, such as integrated into your RV, even doing DJI Flighthub telemetry capture/management, then this plus it's accessories can do it all
