This 77 inch LG B5 OLED stands out as a strong big screen deal for buyers who want OLED contrast and 120 hertz gaming support at a lower price than the C5. The price is about $300 below the C5, and the B5 has still been called a great OLED value even with the C5 expected to get closer in price later. The main concern is brightness, since 700 nits may feel limited in bright rooms or with sunlight behind the viewer. The deal also appears to have moved up to $1399, so timing matters.

Common Questions (4)

The B5 is about $300 less than the C5, and the C5 is described as having close to double the brightness. The B5 is still considered a strong OLED buy if you want to purchase now instead of waiting for the C5 to drop.
Dannny22 ThriftySparrow6627 MellowCatfish6336
It should be fine in a normal room, but it may struggle if strong sunlight is hitting the screen or coming from windows behind the viewer. The panel is described as about 700 nits, so it is better suited to controlled lighting than very bright daytime glare.
kevinaaa visaman777
No, the deal appears to be over and the price has moved to $1399 with Plus/Total membership. A later comment also notes the TV was purchased and scheduled for Tuesday delivery while the lower price was still live.
visaman777 ThriftySparrow6627
Joining Best Buy Preferred can provide a 60-day price match window that covers later sales such as Memorial Day and July 4th. That was used to secure this price.

77in C5 will be close to this price soon, its been as low as $1500 already. Close to double the brightness. This is still a great deal for an oled so if in a rush you'll still be happy with it

For LG partner store, edu, vets true but for the general public we won't see the C5 for $1500.

Unless light is flooding into your living room it will be fine but if you have Windows behind your head was sunlight streaming through as you're looking at the television this might not be for you
