It's made in Mexico, clearly stamped as such, is low in stock, and the glass "feels" thinner. All of Libbey's stuff appears to be made overseas.

I bought both items. I didn't post this one because I posted mine to celebrate memorial day, and Anchor Hocking is made in the USA. I'm glad I didn't, despite seeming to have more features, the Libbey just doesn't feel right - the Anchor Hocking is the sturdier dish. It seems thicker.

The cheapest dish is the (3 pack) Mainstays 9" x 9" Round Nonstick Steel Cake Pan, Dark Gray Multipack Quantity: 3 for $2.32/ea.
It's not steel despite being listed as such, and is black and had a weird feel to it. I'm really glad I didn't post that one, even though it's the absolutely cheapest I found apart from going disposable aluminum foil pan.

Cheap enough to gift the dish with the pie.

Other differences between the two dishes (I just looked at them):

Libbey just has Mexico on the bottom. They don't even have their name on it (possibly because the same factory is rebranding them to other companies too).

Anchor Hocking's has USA on the bottom and a bunch of instructions on being oven safe, microwave safe, don't use on stove top, and the size of the pan, et, and their name in really Big letters. They were a lot more careful in informing consumer, and proud of their name.

Libbey is 9.5" deep, Anchor Hocking's is 9 inches. Most pie recipes are geared to 9 inch pies, you might need to scale it up to use Libbey's for that. On the other hand, you might need a 9.5 inch pan.

The handles aren't very big in the Libbey dish, and I just like the heft of the Anchor Hocking's pie dish, it feels right. It might be subjective, but it feels and tinks (sounds) sturdier.

Both started as American companies, but Anchor Hockings makes it's products in the USA still, and Libbey outsources to mexico, vietnan, and china, etc.

Libbey has a warning about two chemicals in its glass on the glued on label, but not the dish, Anchor Hocking doesn't have anything like this.

I bought 10 of the Anchor Hocking dishes myself so I can give them away with pies in them.
