Not completely out of the question, but modern galvanization doesn't use lead.

lol "clamp-and-bolt" system. Bolts and wingnuts?

I just assembled 8 of these identical beds and two much larger 8x4 rectangular ones in the last two days. It sucked, and surprisingly the smaller rounded ones (this product, exactly, under one of the 5,000 names they have) took longer.

I ditched the gloves for added dexterity and had everything sprawled out on my deck. I still could not get assembly time to under 20 minutes per.

They'll work fine, because the ones I ordered last year are still working fine, but I hope to never build them again. Also try to level your ground, your entire ground, before hand. Slicing out the high side of a slight incline like I had to do was an unenjoyable experience. Because these beds are still wobbly, aligning and leveling plays tricks on your eyes. If you just slice out the high side and try to dig them in as little as possible, then realize the entire bed is warped (it will be) and try to shift it correctly, it won't work.

TL;DR I should have just bought lumber, but they were $16 for a 2 pack last week from that four letter clown site of various cheap things, and arrived in 2 days.

Putting these together is a massive PITA. They work well though, they stay clean and shiny.

These things are smaller than they look in the picture. That lady has to be 4'8 and 75lbs for it to look that big.

No kidding. They're only 1 foot high but look massive in the photo.

To me, a raised garden bed should be off the ground.

Anyone use these in direct sun? I am concerned about cooking the plant roots on hot days.

At first glance, it looks like a great deal, but then i checked the material and its aluminum. Not a good material for growing foods in. Beware.
