You've never needed to get something out of the bottom tote in a stack? Or wanted a reduced tipping hazard when stacked too tall?
I agree the price is ridiculous, I made my shelves out of 2x4s and plywood for much cheaper and stronger, but dont act like stacking them is all you need.

Sounds like you think that is impossible. Let me know what is in it for the person that can.

$150 for PVC is not worth it regardless of the cost of metal. Maybe it is OK if you are not putting much weight in the bins, but if you are storing any weight in them the PVC is going to sag and eventually crack when it gets brittle.

I know it's not possible, the best someone will come up with is a gorilla rack knockoff which doesn't offer the same functionality.

Says you, I'll trust Costco and their lifetime warranty that this rack will hold the 1200# claimed or my money back.

Costco does not offer a lifetime warranty on anything. They can and do deny returns. If you have the rack for 3 years and it fails they may or may not allow you to return it. Not to mention having to take the thing apart and take back to the warehouse would be a hassle.

I've had luck with "difficult" returns simply asking them to show me, in writing, where it says they can deny my return. They never can produce the policy in writing (because there is nothing in the written terms that allow it).

That said, if you push too hard they will just refund your membership and ban you. Have seen that happen when I worked there.

Yea, the Costco Return Policy is intentionally vague so that they can deny or ban as needed. That being said, they usually are really good for returns. The issue is when a product fails (especially an expoensive product or one that is difficult to return due to the size/weight) in a few years it becomes a gray area.

It really isn't and as someone who has been a member since price club I've never been denied or banned, don't even know anybody who has and nearly everyone I know is a member. And no returning things years later is not a grey area.
