I saw an article this morning on my google welcome page about the proteon everything craze making protein prices inflate... didn't read it lol but it makes sense and made me glad ive got a stock pile built up (and have pivoted to really habitualizing foods over podwers recently too)

Atkins diets and high protein have been around since the 70s and got popular in the 90s.

As someone who has been lifting and counting macros for decades most people these days are 80% right in what to eat but don't realize that what's optimal depends massively on goals. Example: can't build much muscle while losing weight.

People eat powder because it's easier. Eating half rotisserie chicken takes a lot longer than downing a couple scoops in milk.

Ah, thanks. Actually that variety pack is not among the 20% items, but there are some. However, at $26 on most, that brings it around $20, and what I usually do on Quest bars is see which flavors are going for <$20 ($18 seems to be the floor) that month and just go with those (usually lemon, but you never know).Usually every month I can find at least 3 or 4 flavors "on sale" and do a S&S for a total of 6-8 boxes. House full of lifters so we go through protein, lol.
