I don't see any mention of UL 1741 compliance, so you can't connect this to the grid and meet code.

That unit is never connected to the grid. It is for stand alone off grid solar, only. The name says it all.

It does have a certificate of compliance for the UL1741 standard by Intertek. Also; two units required for 240v output otherwise it's only 120v.

You sure about 2 units requirement. The output terminal photo shows L1 N L2 connections? And the charging reqiurement is 240 v only?

I've been eyeing a plug-in solar system (instead of permanent one) for my house, which will allow me to offset some of my power usage. I haven't done any research yet, but from what I've heard it needs to be a state approved unit. This would be perfect as it handle 14-15 400w panels, which is more than I plan on plugging. Does anyone have any experience with a system like this?

The are two different 5kw eco worthy all in one solar inverter chargers. One can do 240/120 split phase with one unit. The other requires two units to get 240v.

I have two units in separate locations. One unit has been running for 2 months. Working good.

Believe he is confusing this model for the UL listed SRNE models that Eco Worthy also sells. This is not a SRNE and would not trust it .
