GMKtec's $950 MSRP is a phantom number. This machine lives at $700-750 regularly. You're not saving 31%, you're saving maybe $75-100 at best.

Maybe $648 WITH 32gb DDR5 ram. Never buy any Windows pc with 16GB. You will regret it very very soon

Fair point on the 32GB standard, but it's worth noting this unit uses LPDDR5X 8533MT/s. For office productivity and leveraging local AI models (where memory bandwidth is king), this specialized RAM actually hits a sweet spot for efficiency. Let's be real—at this price point, no mini PC is a AAA gaming beast anyway. It's built for a specific workflow where speed and AI-driven task-boosting matter more than raw capacity.

16GB is enough for many people- streaming, even compiling software. I prefer more, but 16GB is typically not fully utilized in a full Windows 11 Pro install. It's very helpful at boot time, but much is freed afterward, leaving almost half for applications. This assumes that most of the Windows crapware is uninstalled or disabled. If you're playing games, video editing, or other memory -intensive stuff 16GB isn't nearly enough and this can't be upgraded. It's always best to have more than you need. But this price is ridiculous- and these are the times in which we live.

Are you saying this because of the upcoming subscription model? What do you think is going to be the alternative? Linux mint? Or is there something closer to the Windows experience? Linux just is not plug and Play enough for old people to just jump right over. And they're too cheap to pay for a consultant
