Check with your utility company. They usually discount these a good amount.

Yup, that's what I saw too. In for 2. I've never seen this mechanism on Amazon -- one advertised price on the product page (and no additional coupons to clip, etc), but then additional discounts offered at checkout? Is this a thing? Thanks for anything to help me understand what's going on here.

Is this worth getting? I have the Alexa smart thermostat and I looked into it, and I'm not sure it really offers me much more than a better UI
