If anyone is consider this, know that this jacket is meant for active outdoor use, meaning that you are not going to stay warm if you don't move! It's 60g primaloft gold which is very VERY thin!

Make sure you know what you're buying

This is my go to jacket. Love this thing but I don't see myself wearing red. I have the black.

This has been posted multiple times, it's just a very bright color that most people don't want.
It's prior season sell off. Nothing to do with the color.

Good price but uglyish colors. I have the previous model. Theyre thin but surprisingly warm for the thickness. I love it because its light and packs down small for backpacking.

False. This is not an active piece. Is equal parts lifestyle and technical piece with technical insulation. You will overheat if you use this on a hike. This is not anecdotal, this is my most worn outer layer for the past several years. The regular nano puff is good for temps toughly 40-60° F. As a standalone piece, without a layering system.

This piece is fine for light active you such as walking around for a leisurely stroll, but for "active pursuits" like even easy hiking, etc. it will overheat you or be inappropriate for the activity, *generally* speaking.

This is not a down jacket. It is a good all season jacket that works for a wide temperature range so long as it has not bitter cold. It is thin yes, but that is because it is packable. That is a part of the design and a feature.
It is exceptionally warm for being as thin as it is.

I've never owned any Patagonia gear before. I wasn't sure which size to buy so I bought this jacket in a S and M thinking I'd return whichever didn't fit. I had to return them both. The sleeve length was fine with the S, but the chest was too tight. The chest on the M was better, but then the sleeves were way, way too long. I guess I don't have a "Patagonia physique". For reference I wear a 40S jacket and 16 32/33 shirt.
Thanks for the info regarding sizing…I wear a 40S jacket myself

For any backpackers, the REI Magma 850 on sale for $128.50. Much better insulation layer that is lighter, warmer, and has a hood.
But it's super ugly, "robbed for her pleasure", and... only availableIn XXXL at that price.

Love this jacket for everyday wear.

Never too hot, never too cold. In a WIDE range of climates form 70 degrees down to about 30 degrees. Doesn't make me sweat in the 70 degree weather and I'm not cold in the 30 degree...

I'm normally an XL and I prefer this jacket in an XXL. It doesn't look a size too big, maybe a half size too big, but it beats the heck out of a tight jacket.

I bet I've washed the one I have at least 40 times in 2 years and it's holding strong.
