Take this with a grain of salt but unless you really want the samsung branding, I think it's a better buy to get the 512gb onn express card as supposedly it's a rebrand of Lexar which is good enough for most people

Interesting... This seems to be some new proprietary nonsense, doesn't say uhs-ii anywhere but it has extra contacts like uhs-ii. And needs Samsung reader for those speeds.

It's not proprietary, it's a new standard. The new contacts use a PCI express interface and reach cheap SSD speeds (over 800mb/s read and 600mb/s write)

Lexar is not the same brand as I bought 20 years ago - new ownership. No issues but please keep that in mind. NAND prices will continue to increase for the next 24 months - as long as HDDs are sold out (12 month lead time).
