Made of HS ABS/PC, a combination of polypropylene (PC) and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). The strongest luggage is made from PC, but they are the most expensive. This is a lighter and more economical blend.

I have looked at a few other Samsonite hardside carry-on luggage and most are plus 0.5 - 1". I can't figure out why they would design them to be over sized, but these are the ones that goes on sale.

I ordered 2 and it came out to $121.xx. I'm getting 9.5% credit card rewards and 1.5% CB so this was a great price.

They never check the sizes of carry on bags before boarding. Is it more that it fits in the overhead compartment? I got fabric carry on as a gift but like the hardsides better.

They may not check the size but what if it doesn't fit in overhead bin? You never know at what point they might just make them smaller and say "well, we told you so, now pay $150 penalty for boarding the plane with large luggage"
