This isn't for your average iPhone 12, it's for the mini variant.
Some people don't care for putting TVs into their pockets and they hold onto their phones with smaller form factors as such options aren't available anymore.

Performance is still sufficient, and she doesn't want a newer phone because you can't get anything that small from Apple any more. My guess is she'll use it until Apple stops releasing security updates for it and I make her upgrade. (With ai-assisted exploits these days, there's no way I'd use an eol device anymore or let her)
