Beef prices are outrageous. $17 a pound with the bone is just not right.

Other than for how it may look on a picture I am unsure why anyone would want to buy this? The steak itself is huge with that bone and I am willing to be you are paying a lot of $$ for the bone.

That actually changed many years ago
It is now structured around getting the unknowing to click thru a link and execute a purchase of whatever
that is why everyone should use browser extensions like ClearURLS, it strips out all of the tracking info. No tracking info, no commissions

I have had this cut before and aside from presentation, I was severely unimpressed. Just a big boned steak, nothing more, quite a bit of waste weight

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Well-done costco!

The bites around the bone are my favorite parts. Hoping to find this at my local store.

Glad they finally have this at Costco. I was only able to get these at Sam's clubs before. Other names that you may have heard for this cut is "Tomahawk" or "Cowboy ribeye". The steak is huge (usually good for sharing) and it's just fun to eat off the bone. $17/lb isn't really cheap. I typically only get these for special occasions. I was lucky to get these at Managers Special price from Sam's for about $10.49/lb 1yr+ ago.

Take the bone, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you've got a stew going!

Tomahawk is one of the most expensive and least value steaks you can buy. The bone is always counted in weight. Easy pass for me.
This isn't tomahawk, those are usually for pictures with a much longer handle. This is simply bone in ribeye which has a much shorter bone and less dramatic

Beef is crazy high now. We typically go with chicken and pork now. The boneless Prime Ribeye steak is $24 lb. at Costco. Not sure if that is the better value, but either way, crazy. Now, if you want a good steak, you have to go with the lesser of all evils. I thought this was something postworthy, but the votes will decide.I will be picking up a chuck roast today for $6.99 lb (Sale price at Kroger). I am used to paying $2.99 lb. on a good sale. pre-COVID.But I crave some beef, so a treat of some kind is in order.I tried to do the hack from YT to make it take like a steak, but that failed, even using sous vide and reverse searing. I ended up throwing it into the slow cooker. Delicious, but not prime ribeye. It's been over a decade since I had one better than choice.
Sous vide at 137 for 36 hours. Thank me later.

As a kid who used to suck all of the marrow out of the bone(pun intended), I believe some of you are overlooking the fact that the bone and marrow by itself is PACKED with nutrition and flavor.

We're going to be grilling hamburgers for memorial day - from the freezer we bought when it was still a good price, and chicken.

That chuck roast sounds good though.
