The Sennheiser RS 175 is a wireless TV and home listening headset that stands out for its charging dock, strong range, and solid positional audio for games and movies. The ear pads and headband cushions are replaceable, and the battery uses a standard AAA NiMH cell, which makes upkeep easier. Open box condition is the main risk here, with reports of immediate cancellations, missing boxes, and occasional missing accessories like the power adapter or audio cable. When the unit arrives complete, it can look and work like new.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, cancellation risk is high on this listing: multiple orders were canceled immediately or within a minute after checkout. A local pickup order did go through for some buyers, so pickup may be more reliable than shipping.
Condition is hit-or-miss. Some units arrived looking brand new with no dents, dings, or smells and worked great, while others were missing the box or had charging issues.
Accessories are not guaranteed. Some open-box units arrived with everything, but others were missing the power adapter and audio cable, leaving only the headphones and base in the box.
It can work well for positional audio: one long-term owner says it clearly reveals enemy floor position in shooters. The closed-back design is also noted as a sound-quality drawback compared with the RS185 open-back model.
Yes. The ear covers are removable and replacement ear pads can be ordered, and the battery is accessible through a latch using a normal AAA NiMH cell.

For the 1st pair that's missing all the accessories, I purchased a 9v power adapter from aliexpress for just a dollar, luckily, it works perfectly.
Not too bad for $52.99 per pair
