As a reference point, I bought the chronograph version of this watch (Valjoux movement) for about $1250 new grey market. This doesn't seem like a great deal, though the special edition colors and caseback are cool.

This watch has the domed crystal which is the style I'm searching for. The red accent on the hour and minute hands is very classy, almost irresistible. IWC (International Watch Company) comes to mind.

However the case size is still too big. Making a watch of 34mm to show off your watch making skills for crying out loud.
