1 additional detail that could be important to some.... You can NOT charge oupes power stations on a GFCI plug in. I know some will say those outlets are only around kitchens or bathrooms but many outdoor plugs are GFCI outlets also.

The same code works on the 1400Wh model and brings it down to $284 before tax.

You even get a free 200W charging adapter, which I assume will also avoid the GFCI issue previously mentioned.

Seems like a much better deal: https://oupes.com/products/oupes-...er-station

Right, because it's not a large capacity. If you want a larger capacity unit, it's going to be heavier. You want twice the capacity? It's going to be very close to twice the weight, and so forth. There's no way around this. 23lbs for 1kWh is very typical for weight.

Interestingly enough, the oupes site has amazon pay as an option, and depending on your wallet prime card etc, you can get 6 or 12 interest free installment payments on it through amazon pay. So payment options are flexible.

This confuses me. Why would it be incapable of being charged on a GFCI protected outlet? Under normal (non-faulted) circumstances, the current going from the "hot" side should flow entirely back to the neutral and NOT to the ground.

All I know is it says it in the owners manual and mine does in fact trip my GFCI every single time.

Pretty sure it has to do with the floating neutral.

So it's not so much that it won't charge off a GFCI as it is that a GFCI won't charge it without possibly tripping.

It's also important to note that most of these power stations have a similar design. Some are just more prone to trip than others.

From what I gather, you can buy a cheap (under $10) neutral to ground bonding adapter, but charging from DC will also work.

I've got two of these that I use for camping and other general purpose uses. They work well, and I use one for something pretty much every day.
