Great deal. This kit works great. I used it on a car that is outside 24/7 and after 6 years it accumulated a noticeable amount of surface contamination. This kit removed it so the surface felt nice and smooth.

A Nanoskin clay sponge is $20, it is easily 4x faster and will last much longer. Traditional clay is obsolete for general car paint use.

thanks but curious how it looked before polishing? Did it have noteiceable marring and scratches?

I have been using Meguiars clay for years. You should not have significant scratches unless there were there first or you dropped and contaminated your clay during use. You must first wash your car to get dirt off and then make sure you lubricate while you clay. It should be easy to move and you can feel the difference in the paint. Meguiars also has videos that you can watch. Meguiar's: All About the Passion for Cars & Car Care! ( https://www.youtube.com/MeguiarsUSA )

You will want to, at minimum, wax or apply your preferred protectant after as all that will be gone. I use Meguiars yellow wax for this. ( Gold Class Carnauba Plus Paste Wax ) As to polishing, it will make it nicer but not 100% required. You will notice that polishing and waxing is easier and faster after as there is not as much drag in the paint after claying.
