Sorry I didn't have a pic ready. I don't feel like reposting and have no idea how to add a pic after.

Probably a great deal for a cheap vacation camera.

Z50 is DX, and not FX. Not criticizing, just FYI.

I already have a Canon M6 w/ 18-55mm and 55-210mm as my portable for travel purpose, this seems like an upgrade especially with its 4K video, should I do it? All my other gears are Canon (R5 and 5DS).

It's an excellent camera for the price. While the Z50 II provides much better focus performance, it costs twice as much and is noticeably thicker and heavier.

Any recommendations for a good reasonable priced prime lens for this camera?

I'm grabbing more for photos. I'd assume sticking within the eco system would be easier. Regardless, the resale values on eBay and the like would mean you can easily get your money back if you end up not happy.

It's an entry level camera body that was launched in 2019. While its contemporary Z7 and Z6 counterparts included USB-C, it sold for about for a quarter and half the price, respectively.

Feigning shock that entry level camera body released more than 7-years ago has USB-A is just silly, even in 2026.

You won't use it, because it is too big. I still use my M6 for travel, even tho i have more capable cameras. Buy it if you have another use case, but not for travel specific.

Unless you are using it tethered, USB connection is not really needed in these type of cameras. Use ur computers card reader to transfer files, it be quicker. Use a dedicated charger, better for the camera to not heat up.

Apple (out of all companies) started to use USB-C on their laptops back in 2015. Now, granted...it did take a LONG time to move their phones and tablets to that standard, but MANY other devices (like nearly every Android phone) made the quick jump to it.

Even the "I"-pad was using it by 2018.

So yeah, by 2019, I'd entirely expect every reasonably modern consumer electronics company to be using USB-C.
