I've had mine about 2 months now and, knock on wood, it's been flawless. The only slight negative is the cats soon figure out they can get a few extra kibbles out by sticking their paw up inside the outlet. Because of this it's advisable to secure it to a wall.

The cat just figures out how to trigger the door and get extra food.
I love that the metal bowls can be removed and put in the dishwasher for cleaning and that it has the slow feed mode where it dispenses a little bit at a time during a scheduled feed. My cats are a lot happier not fighting for the single bowl anymore
