I have a similar enclosure to this. The one note that I'd share is that only the USB port is going to be powered from the phone. To access the M.2, it needs external power, which sort of hurts the idea of portable use.

Isn't 10GB rather small?
It's 10 gbps or gigabits per second. That is the transfer speed. This is actually pretty fast. It does not come with the drive, so you can put whatever one you want in it.

I have an enclosure similar to this, too, and the m.2 is powered by the phone. Mine is not Orico branded though, maybe yours is.The one I have has other shortcomings though - no microphone channel on the 3.5mm jack, an SD slot that overrides the m.2 drive when an SD card is inserted, and it was almost twice the price of this one. This one is appealing, unless it really requires external power.

I'm building a mobile dj setup off of an old iPhone max, this actually could be what I'm looking for in terms of a "dock"

I also have a similar enclosure. Tried a different SSD and it worked without external power. Maybe some of them just draws too much power.

Which SDD did you use? I would need this to be portable (able to save videos directly to the SSD or, at a minimum, transfer them)
