In terms of performance, this should be a step above the cheapo Walmart(Onn)/Amazon-branded tablets and a step below the base iPad or the Samsung S10 Lite series. My unc has one and it's fine for watching conspiracies videos on YouTube and browsing the web. Watching a picture-in-picture video while simultaneously rambling on the facebooks is also fine.
Closest competitor to this like another comment alluded to is the Samsung A11+. The A11+ has a better CPU and longer software support while the Lenovo has slightly more RAM and a better display. If someone has a budget of sub $200 and just wants to do media consumption than this Lenovo Idea Tab should be fine.
Community Reviews
The Lenovo Idea Tab is a budget 11 inch Android tablet that stands out for its 2.5K screen, included pen, and solid media use. It handles streaming, web browsing, reading, YouTube, and light gaming well, with Balatro, Roblox, Minecraft, GTA San Andreas, and even some retro emulation getting positive real world use. The headphone jack, USB C fast charging, and 8GB RAM make it feel more capable than cheap entry tablets. The main drawback is the MediaTek 6300, which keeps it from feeling fast for heavier multitasking or demanding apps, and the 480 gram weight may matter if you want something very light. A practical pick for everyday entertainment and casual use.

And yes, I was obviously using "GB" as shorthand for gigabytes. I added the apostrophe specifically to make clear I wasn't referring to GB/s, which judging by your response, you understood perfectly. So the message was sent, received, and understood. Mission accomplished....yet you still complain.
See friend, communication is about conveying ideas and information. You understood the idea, and you grasped the information. Yet here we are, stuck in the middle of your pedantic little "um actually" rant....or would you prefer "um actuallys"? "um actually's"? "um actualies"?
FWIW, the most of us were discussing physical RAM available to a tablet, as opposed to Virtual RAM assigned to a swap file. Yet here you are hijacking the thread ranting about grammar, syntax, punctuation, and semantics instead of the actual topic being discussed. But thanks, I guess?
P.S. Not to split hairs, though I know that's your specialty, but "VRAM" can also refer to the amount of shared system RAM allocated to an iGPU when there isn't a discrete GPU. Or even Virtual RAM assigned to a Virtual Machine. Plenty of other cases as well for that commonly used, and misused initialism in the fluid internet vernacular we find ourselves in. #context
Some light GameCube and PS2 games are doable but it will struggle with heavier games.
Only the Lenovo Tab PRO is a real upgrade.
They are all upgrades but VERY small, unless you go pro.
I spent the first 90 minutes deleting or disabling different apps.
I disabled...
1. Google TV (just don't need it)
2. Kids Space
3. PAI
4. Personal Safety
5. Smart Connect
And I deleted about half a dozen apps.
The next thing I did was update the tablet... I think it took three updates. And now I am ready....
The tablet had less bloatware/spyware that I was expecting... very fast. I think most people will be very happy.
Honestly, begers can't be choosers but I wish it was 11" and not 12.7".

I also got my case for the pro on AliExpress to save a buck. I always buy drop proof cases with glass screen protectors.
Amazon has on sale, (Prime Day) Model Number: ZAFR0925US Idea Tab (1st Generation, 2025) for $159.
Are they the same?
