The sediment inside the water tank won't clog the pump? I need one for the same reason. I'm willing to do it twice a year.

The sediment inside the tank will not destroy this pump. The comments on this pump failing are from people pumping gas, oil, diesel, and whatever they can think of.
If you haven't touched your tank in 4+ years, I personally wouldn't flush it now. Just leave it until it breaks. If you been flushing it since new, you can keep on flushing

OP, which hack are you referring to? Buy the battery charger and get the pump for free but return the charger?

Pumping anything but water will decrease the lifespan. It's commonly known issue. Seen comments go both ways.

I'm an HVAC technician and want to use this to pump pure glycol (propylene and ethylene), can I use this or is the viscosity too thick?

Don't waste your money, This is the biggest piece of garbage that Milwaukee makes, This pump is Such a disappointment, I couldn't even pump water from my stream up a 4' bank

Thank you for your response. I know I can Google my question but real world experience is much more beneficial. Cheers.

It will transfer glycol into a system up about 20psi.
