So is the HD collection what I should buy or the deluxe for $15?

The HD Collection gives you DMC1-3, but DMC2 is widely considered the weakest game in the series, while DMC3 is the standout. The Deluxe bundle [steampowered.com] also includes Devil May Cry 4 SE, which has more modern gameplay, extra playable characters (like Vergil), and overall adds a lot more value for a bit more cost. If you're new to the series, it's probably the best overall starting point.

I got all 3 for my kids Switch 2 and am almost done with the DMC1. I completed the game back in 2003 and I am impressed with how it still holds up TO ME. Well worth $15. I just spent $18 on a burger meal.
