Does anyone know if this is a "noisy" jacket? My son is on the spectrum and hates the ones that make a lot of noise when walking.. but he def needs a light rain jacket.

The Glennaker 2 is light and thin, so it is not able to generate much of its own rubbing noise, but I am not sure how to put the noise level on a scale.

This is not only the worst rain jacket I have ever used, it's the worst clothing of any kid that I have ever worn. It is not at all waterproof, but somehow does a decent job of trapping the water that it lets through on your skin and clothing. I only saw this post because I was here looking for a deal on a new rain jacket to replace this garbage.

I like this lightweight Columbia Men's Glennaker Lake II Rain Jacket. But you should be aware it's not as "breathable" as you would think. I had been watching how the 1x Blk/City Gray prices keeps dipping now and then. Last October 2025, I got their 1x at $15.63. So YMMV.

This has so much wasted potential...not breathable in the right places, no cinch cord at bottom, among other things. There are other cheaper & functional options listed on that page though.
