That said, when the oil shortage hits (like in the internal autozone memo), synthetic blend will be good enough. If you change your oil every 3-5k miles, synthetic, blend or dino won't be much of a factor.
The smart ones will get some jugs for a few future oil changes.

If I have a shop that changes my oil can I bring my own oil for them to use ?
What's the shelf life on motor oil ? I only change my oil every 2 years.....does new motor oil go bad, have an expiration date like a can of green beans and go bad over time ? I don't want to get greedy and stock up with a couple jugs if it goes bad in a few years.
Or maybe a motor oil shortage happens ? People start to panic and the price goes up to $80 for a 5 qt jug of oil ? Maybe I can sell the oil I bought for $12 and sell it on Facebook Marketplace for $60 ? Huh ? at $12 maybe I should buy 10 jugs ....I can flip it as an investment ?
I can't find it. Thanks.
