Anybody knows if these can be split? I do a lot of Northeast regional trains, but rarely anything nearly a hundred. If I could apply this to my account and use it over the course of a few train rides that would be wonderful. I don't see any terms on the Best buy site or on the Amtrak gift card page (https://www.amtrak.com/giftcards)

I'm wondering the same.

It's a gift card. Why wouldn't it be?

I can't think of specific examples at the moment, but I've had situations where one had to use an entire giftcard at once or any remaing balance is forfiet upon spending any part of it. It's definitely not common, and I wouldn't expect that to be the case here, but I *have* run across it more than once

If you click through all the way to terms and conditions on the Amtrak site, no expiration date, but if you buy a refundable ticket with them and refund it you'll get a credit that has a one year expiration.

Still don't have an answer about splitting it in more than one transaction and what happens to the leftover if you buy something less than a hundred. Someone's response here was

> It's a gift card. Why wouldn't it be?

My response is I want to see it in the terms and conditions somewhere otherwise I don't know that I will be able to keep the extra, or whether the extra will come back to me in a different form that has an expiration date

In-ed for 3. Stacking it with promos can be fun! My last trip on NEC from Baltimore to Boston in New Acela first class cost me just under $90. I wish I could catch another deal like that.

Is it confirmed? I have a college student frequently travelling between MD and NJ, this would be helpful, and most of the time would try to get $15-20 tickets by booking way in advance.
