This is a better price than you usually see during the All-Clad seconds sale, which is 15% off.

One of the best purchases I made from All-Clad were some stainless measuring cups, which have proven very useful for melting butter on the stove top and also for making sauces or oil infusions like garlic butter or olive oil with herbs. Certainly a LOT cheaper than $55. I'm not sure why you need tri-ply to melt butter.

Aren't their measuring cups like $70?

Hard to justify this purchase, even at sale price. If it had a lid, I could see it being perfect for making a single cup of rice. I've already got plenty of small saucepans, and I don't feel like the tri-ply really matters if you're just trying to reheat soup or sauces, which is what I would use this for.
About the only advantage I can see here versus my existing small saucepans is that some of them are poorly weighted due to their size, and have a tendency to tip over on the stove when empty, whereas I imagine the All-Clad would probably be a bit sturdier.
But if I'm gonna splurge on a butter warmer, I'd probably go for a heritage one like this:

We had to switch 90% of our cookware when we moved to induction. I saw this last year for $59 and got yelled at for buying it. Wife uses it like three times per week and loves it.

Same here. Wife laughed at me for buying a 0.5 qt pot. Now she uses it quiet frequently. It is definitely well balanced and easy to clean. One of my wife's favorite.

What are uses for a 0.5 qt pot? At first I was interested as I wanted to replace my old small pot before I realized it was 1 qt. I can't imagine wanting something smaller.

I love my 0.5 qt pot. I use it to heat up sauces where a 1 qt pot would be overkill. For example, I often steam fish and will make a Cantonese style sweet soy sauce with heated oil and this is the perfect size for that. It's also great for dessert portions, i.e. boiling sweet sticky rice dumplings for 1 or 2 servings.

If they are now, that's a rip off! 😀 I bought them more than a few years ago for much less. Not even made in the U.S.!

It's conveniently two cups, perfect for convenience food like instant potato or ramen. You can also do sides like stuffing (cooking the veggies first), or sauces (browning meats first).

The only thing that stops me from getting this is that there is no lid. Why?!

Pays to be an educated consumer. Should I ever need to replace my saucepan then it would be with another K.A. Belgian made Demeyre rivetless with sealed copper-silver core bottom, double insulated stainless lid, dripless lip. https://www.ebay.com/itm/363150139138
These are NLA, lucky can still get.

All-scam steel has not Silvanox heavy metal removal process or the fine polishing. If intent on buying low grade shina steel then at least do't overpay. The unsealed open edge is obsolete. Multiply construction is good for a frypan but not a sauce pan. Glass lids suck but here you have Invisashield Iid perfect for a madhatter tea party.
