Pre-order? Didn't this release back in 2021? And while I understand that some prefer physical games, this title is regularly on sale digitally for $6, and its record low was $4.

I was thinking the same. Good catch there. For anyone else that hasn't played this, it's a helluva game for $30. If you aren't partial to physical copies like myself, you can get the digital version on sale for quite a bit cheaper.

I will never pre order through Best Buy again. I was supposed to get the new Lego Batman Deluxe on 19th and they haven't even tried to make it right. Been a run around and thats why I bought Deluxe for 3 day early access.

Well maybe Best Buy shouldn't have changed their online store to a trash 3rd party marketplace that allows for scalpers to buy up all the products with bots, only to resell at a criminal pricepoint. Same goes for Target and Walmart.

Game was only going for what people were willing to pay for it. Helps that the game has been OOP for years now. Not really scalping when the game hasn't been in stores for several years.

Even without it being OOP, it had a very small print run for the PS5 mainly since the game was already out for the PS4 for 2 years before the PS5 ultimate edition came out. At that point, sales were already very low.

Wasn't until the Game Awards, in December, that new players started wanting it again after they showed Control Resonant.

Let's remember that this is a 7 year old game (5 if you only count the PS5 ultimate edition). It being sold for a higher than MSRP was only due to it being limited and hard to find in stores. That can't be helped. Glad it's being re-released for it's MSRP though.

It's regulary on sale on PSN for $6. Of course a physical disc you can sell will cost more initially on release. Give it a few months and it'll be a sub $10 disc like it was during its first run.

This game took a while to get into. It got weird in the best possible ways. It may not be the best game I ever played, but it was unique, fun, and worth the time.

Giving it a perfect 5 out of 7.
