Older classic vehicles use thicker oil , bearing clearances were not a tight as modern vehicles hydraulically lifters were not really a thing, flat tapped cams. Race car drivers also use thicker oil bc it moves slower and provides better coverage in the engine during high reving high heat. When I was a kid had no money a lot of my vehicles leaked/smoked, some oil thicker oil leaks slower burns slower. Lastly many even modern motorcycles still use thicker oil.

Idk I never used a Pokémon . They came out way after my childhood. I own a classic car that requires higher zinc levels more than most modern engine oils .
