The black or white models are available for +$15. They are also having a sale on flavors, I snagged a 4 pack of Code Red Zero for $8, regularly $29!

My local target had the Mint art on clearance for $34.99 about a week ago

I bought one of these w few months ago and love it. I had a few other sodastreams before but the quality of this one just seemed much higher overall. Definitely happy with it

Used SodaStreams regularly go for ~$30 on eBay and FB Marketplace. Good discount from their usual asking price, but this is still a lot of money for some injection molded plastic.

How much will a bottle and 3 co2 tanks set you back?

SodaStream sucks. Drinkmate is better, you can carbonate any liquid. With SodaStream you have to carbonate water and then flavor it afterwards. I think whoever gets a SodaStream had no idea about Drinkmate

If you have a Drinkmate and you want Pepsi, does Drinkmate have an option for that or do you still buy the Sodastream Pepsi syrup?

You still have to buy the syrup but instead of carbonating the water first and adding and mixing the syrup which will cause your drink to go flat, you can premix the syrup into water and carbonate that mixture for a better tasting drink. All juices can be directly carbonated with the DrinkMate. It's a far superior device to SodaStream but has terrible marketing

Can't wait for my Drinkmate to be delivered this week! I had the Philips version and just like SodaStream, you have to carbonate the water first before the syrup and you can't carbonate any drinks like juices or flat sodas like Drinkmate!

I was going to ask, what's actually stopping you from doing the same in SodaStream. I looked it up and Drinkmate has detachable nozzles so you can clean them unlike SodaStream. Which is an important factor

This is directly from SodaStream's website:
Can I re-carbonate a flavored drink that has gone flat?

No! Only water should be carbonated in the Sodastream Sparkling Water Maker! You risk damaging your Sparkling Water Maker, not to mention making a big fizzy mess! The money-back guarantee and the warranty are both invalidated if you carbonate any liquid other than water in your Sparkling Water Maker. Stick with plain, cold water and adding any one of our fantastic flavors AFTER the water has been carbonated!

I have a Sodastream and I'm happy with it. Never have had any desire to carbonate anything other than water to make soda. Just watched a video on using the Drinkmate. Do the bottles not have lids? If all you have is that fizz attachment doesn't that limit you to doing one bottle at a time? Right now I have in the frig a bottle of Caffeine Free Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi and Sugar Free Mug Root Beer

why would it matter what syrup you use? Drinkmate's system is far superior in that you are not adding syrup after carbonation that flattens the soda. you are carbonating everything at the same time.

I didn't ask that to imply that not having their own syrup is inferior. I asked it out of curiosity of how it works because I looked on drinkmate's website and couldn't find syrup. I was more concerned that it wouldn't be able to make name brand soda with Drinkmate because the sodastream brand soda that sodastream sold before they offered name brand soda was horrible.
I hear that drinkmate's system is far superior.
