I tried them and ended up returning. Cool concept, but unless you have a specific use case where this is your only real option, I'd rather watch on anything else.

Maybe if I were a frequent flyer, or some other thing were I was stuck sitting for long periods of time.

My bright idea was: Use a samsung phone, and then whip out bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so no matter where I might be - I could have a large desktop in front of me to do some work on. It for sure would not be good for that sort of thing.

It's $143.20 + tax. You don't expect every deal on SD to cater to your individual city and state tax laws, do you?

It's $143.20 + tax. You don't expect every deal on SD to cater to your individual city and state tax laws, do you?

You pay tax on $179 then they take the $35.80 off. I would have expected to have the coupon decrease the price first, then pay tax on the lower amount

Bought this last time and I enjoy it. I use it with my Galaxy Fold and it plugs into my retro handhelds nicely. Used on a couple of Anbernics and a pair of Retroids, I love it over the little 4in screen. Browsing on my phone before bed is really convenient until you fall asleep with them on.

A big complaint by productivity users is that visual acuity for text (especially across the entire FOV) isn't so great. Can you speak to that at all?

I ordered these last time - needed a new cable which I received a week later but everything else felt brand new. I was impressed with the brightness and clarity and intend to upgrade to a newer better model eventually. I've really only been using them on flights (I fly a loooot), either watching movies and feeling like I'm in a theatre or working on my MacBook. Being able to blackout my screen on flights so the brightness isn't affecting other passenger is rad.
