I've bought a half dozen of these things over the years, mostly from Woot, and I've never paid more than $129 or so.

The 13" M4/M5 keyboard doesn't work for the older devices. The one you bought debuted with the 3rd gen iPad Pro, which is why its so inexpensive, and it won't work with the newer devices.
This isn't a good price, but equating a device made 5 years ago to one made a year ago isn't truly relevant.
