For the most part; however, my husband will meal prep for us and sometimes it is something quite odoriferous. I may see if these help.

For those buying these, what exactly is hiding in your fridge? On second thought, please don't answer.

Some food can be smelly, some people have 2 fridge's to store the smelly food on one and the regular everyday food on the other, I have seen this on some Korean families that I was able to meet, I do not know if this odor absorber can help to neutralize this strong seasoned food.

Great for dry curing salmon in your fridge. My strawberries never tasted better

I always just buy the big 13.5 lbs from Costco for the pool, and refill the small boxes in kitchen and frig.

they wont help. the myth that putting a box of baking soda in your fridge does anything is perpetuated by big baking soda to sell more baking soda

Slight musty smell from ac return is usually a sign of mold or at least too much humidity. There are several ways to DIY fix - from adding UV lights to running a dehumidifier. I installed my own UV lights inside my AC. Was pretty easy. I'm still on the fence as to if it does anything though lol

To be fair, it helps a TINY BIT. I am sure someone would've lawyered up by now if it was 100% false. That said, you basically need to switch it out CONSTANTLY in order for it to neutralize smells. Cleaning the fridge is more cost effective and arguably faster (assuming never clean the fridge until it dies in 5-10 yrs vs buying this every month and replacing.)

Ya, I am handy but am having some medical issues (cant see correctly) so its hard to do things as it stands.

Bakin soda for now is an easy temp fix but as you noted it wont resolve the long term issues which I am not sure what they are probably lies somewhere else. I cleanout the ducts each year at least the reachable portions with a vacuum extension so there is no dirt and debris leading in.

My return vents have a slight musty smell and I think I have to get into the evaporator coils and clean it but that would require cutting the main truck and stuff as I do not have direct access along with a fin cleaning tool............I've read that dirt buildup in there then collects moisture which then in turn emits the smell.

I have 2 seperate HVACs and they are 19 years old so am also reluctant to get too handsy in there. In the winter I run an inline humidifier to the bedroom HVAC so that might also contribute to the moisture in the system but its not in the unit thats on the lower floors but I assume it still contributes moisture. Might look to cleanout the condensate pan or something later this year.

PS. Purchased and ran an Ozone machine in the return vent for 2 hours so far when we were away for few days but not sure if that neutralized the odors. Besides as noted this requires you not being in the room to displace the air for several hours after each run.

Ozone only works after you've fixed the underlying issue. Example: old roommate left cat poop machine and did not clean out properly. I ran ozone machine twice but smell came back. Removed cat poop cleaner and ran ozone. No more smell. That said - look into getting new ac. 19 is a long time. You'll get your money back in efficiency, at least..... get 5 quotes (don't tell ac sales this) and use 2nd best price for good balance

My house is relatively efficient even now, my heating and gas is about $258 for a 3000 sqft house......

I got quotes last year that were close to 30-40 k for the 2 units 😢
