Because of the high hit rate of cordless impact wrenches, torque sticks don't work well with anything but air tools.

True, it's not going to take the thinking part out of the equation - can't just hammer them and think they are good to go. I'm pretty sure these have always been looked at that way. I use them on my older mid-torque Ridgid 18V (which has less power than my pneumatic IR Thundergun), and it's pretty good with them. I'll still get a partial turn with the torque wrench before it clicks. But unless you calibrate those too, they're probably off too.

The tire shop I was at last week getting a valve stem swapped out was using a cordless impact and a regular chrome socket too (lol) - didn't even bother to torque them. But that's why I do my own stuff Smilie
