The only thing my cobra 3 max does consistently is ringing and vfa's. At this point I don't use it unless the model allows for fuzzy skin.

Perhaps the 4 has different belts and magically solved the persistent vfa's but I'd check into that from some non-shill reviewers

The Kobra 3 Max and S1 Combo were the last models released prior to AnyCubic making major quality control changes. I don't have any experience with the k3 max, but I believe there are some mods for k3v1 due to play in the gantry; could be a similar issue of you haven't already looked at it.

The k3v2 I had was seriously impressive, and the only reason I sold it was to make room for the kx, which has been running without issues so far.

Have you tried out some vfa test prints and see if tightening the belts and slowing down the print will help?

I've got a Kobra 3v2 and S1 and I have had very few issues with vfas and ringing. I also have a Bambu p2s and the prints are a little better than the Kobras I have but usually they are hard to tell the difference. I've had less issues with the p2s and ams (clogs and filament shards) but it's hard to say the Bambu is worth paying 2X over a Kobra printer.

The Kobra X (4 color reduced waste) is $279 so I would recommend that over the Kobra 4 version if you have an extra $79.

The Kobra X is a better printer, and marginally higher than the 4 and has much better print quality. The Kobra 4 existing makes absolutely no sense.

Though I haven't had any issues with my two Kobra 3 v1 units (no ringing, etc)... I hardly ever use them anymore due to my S1. It's so much quieter, stinks less, and generally sticks better due to corexy.

Got the kobra x a few weeks ago and been happy with it, for not much more seems like it's a superior machine, pretty sure it's got a better 4 color print head with it. But the app and mobile slicing abilities suck on it

You probably already did but make sure your z axis screws are tightened and the bed is tightened under the mat. The bed was just barley loose for me but tightening this fixed my issue.

This is a competent full sized bed slinger but for 80 bucks more you can get the kobra x which is arguably the best 4 color budget bedslinger on the market
