Inquisitor is a Diablo-like ARPG, good/very good for what it is. Martyr is the base game, and Prophecy is a standalone expansion / DLC with another campaign and character class. It's better if you have both, so I'm glad both are included in this bundle. If you have both, just launch Martyr as it will auto-add Prophecy DLC in.
Dakka Squadron is sort of like Rogue Squadron, but let's just say it could've been better. There was potential and some of it is still cool, but I wouldn't spend more than $5 on it (it is on sale for sure, and I mean separately from this bundle). It's cute, it reminds me of like, Crimson Skies, but the novelty wears off after a bit. The game is quite short and I do like the upgrade system and different planes you can fly, but if you don't like 40k or Orkz specifically, you're probably better off playing some other dogfighting game like Rogue Squadron or Everspace (which is also only $0.99 right now)
Blood Bowl II is pretty much an implementation of the tabletop game. I enjoyed it around when it came out, but apparently some recent patch kinda broke the single player campaigns. It's still better than III though. Violent mayhem-filled sportsball game similar to american football if you could just beat the hell out of your opponents. Fun for some, not for all.
Space Hulk, ironically, I have only played the 1993 version...The one included in this bundle is the 2013 version, which I haven't played but it looks MUCH MUCH better and very faithful to the tabletop. Steam reviews have it as mostly positive, and somehow this one kind of passed me by, and I wish I had more to say about it because it seems like an excellent implementation. Very claustrophobic and corridor-heavy, this one has more survival-horror vibes than most other tactics games.
Gladius is a Civ-lite game with combat victory being the only option, it's more enjoyable than it has any right to be. It is, however, absolutely free to keep right now, so, go grab it on Steam for free, if you haven't already (it was free a couple years ago as well, may of 2023). The T'au are a good addition, and probably one of the first expansions I'd get. Their basic infantry have adjacency bonuses so never send them out alone, if you're playing as them; or try to isolate their squads if you're playing against them. I really do like this one, and the DLC just gives you more toys to play with. So if you've exhausted the base game or matches are getting kind of samey, that's when to start looking at DLC...You don't need to buy all the DLC, it's just more factions and units, for the most part. Also if you enjoy this one, the same developer has a non-WH40K game called Zephon that's extremely similar to Gladius, but not set in the 40k world. They have their own sci-fi universe they came up with in sort of a post-apocalyptic earth.
Battlesector is also free to try (for about a week) on steam right now, and I recommend trying before you buy it. It's good for what it is, but it's not for everyone. It's definitely closer to the tabletop than any other game on this list, so if you love the tabletop version, you'll love this. Thankfully it comes with a couple DLCs for cool armies because normally this game is very DLC heavy; it needs more DLC to get the most out of it. Worth noting that the base game is $11.99 on steam right now, so getting the game + 2 DLC for $10 makes this bundle worth it alone if you wanted to give this one a shot.
If, like me, you rarely/barely play the tabletop version, but are looking for a turn-based tactics game more like XCOM, you might prefer Mechanicus or Chaos Gate: Daemonslayers over Battlesector. I realize those aren't in this bundle, but they are both on a strong sale / discount right now as well.
Thanks for reading!
