I'm 5'6 and the distance between the two foot rests make this a little harder on my knees than I thought. The most I've gone is 20 minutes and the awkward feeling actually works my core more because it doesn't feel comfortable yet. I'll give it a few months but I can say it is a sturdy build. I'm 170lbs right now and it feels fine.
I actually really love the portable elliptical machines but each ones I've purchased from Amazon I've worn out in under 2 years. I get the "standing" ones but truthfully, I think they're all really built for sitting. One of the foot pedals just breaks off due to the wear and tear mid-use.
Note: I noticed on several videos of the product that the Merach Rocking Stepper appears to come in at least two variations, one with a slightly smaller blue triangular block and one with a slightly larger blue triangular block.
Since the blocks appear to be attached via two screws, I plan on removing the blocks entirely to allow for greater range of motion. Other competing products (from different manufacturers) have no triangular blocks, so I don't believe that their absence will cause any significant safety problems. However, I will need to be careful about damaging the floor or carpet under the edges that are no longer protected by the plastic pieces.

When comparing it against balance boards, the balance boards were capable of doing a greater variety of exercises. The reason I bought the Rocking Stepper was because it looked more engaging. I bought it because I believe I would use it more, even though a standard balance board appeared to offer more choices (on paper).
