Bought one, but I will check them carefully. I have one bad 6AH battery also built with 21700 cells. The cells inside are unbalanced, 1 pair are dead, the other have little capacity.

Can anyone who orders and receives these batteries report on what the manufacturing date is that is stamped on the top of each one? Some recent deals on Dewalt batteries had batteries that were manufactured 4 years ago, and even though they are new, li-ion batteries degrade over time, even without use.

This is the best deal i've seen on the powerpack version as well. Although not sold by Amazon. I ordered both and will see what shows up. May need to do a closer inspection on the powerpack to make sure they are legit.

FYI powerpack ones from amazon came in plain plastic bag. Sending those back immediately. Lowes has the 4ah compact DCB240 as well if you don't want to order from amazon.
