AC motor. These things are going to hum like a mother. Don't install near a bed or a TV. Maybe good for a "sitting room" or for a flip where you don't care about the buyer at all.

This isn't going to be a "I got a really good deal on this fan" kind of situation so much as a "yeah, but it was only 20 bucks" kind of thing.
