The ZBook Power G8 is a heavy, rugged mobile workstation that stands out most for its 64GB of RAM, capable i7 11850H, and useful port selection, including Thunderbolt 4 and support for multiple external displays. The workstation T1200 graphics and Windows 11 Pro add to its appeal for demanding office work, emulators, and RAM hungry workflows. The main drawbacks are the scratch and dent condition, a small 256GB SSD, loud fans, heat, and battery life that may only last a few hours. It is best suited to buyers who value memory and workstation hardware over portability or modern efficiency.

  • The laptop can support multiple external 2K displays using Thunderbolt or HDMI connections.

  • The Thunderbolt 4 port adds practical docking flexibility for work setups and peripherals.

  • The ZBook Power G8 offers strong workstation-class performance with an i7-11850H and a dGPU.

  • The configuration includes business-focused extras like Windows 11 Pro, a backlit keyboard, and good speaker output.

  • The scratch-and-dent condition and questionable battery state can make the refurb less attractive.

  • The battery life can be only a few hours when the laptop is not plugged in.

  • The laptop runs hot and uses aggressive fans, which can be noticeable during use.

  • The fans can be loud at idle, which may be inconvenient for quiet environments.

I think everyone bought this for the ram.

it's like buying 64gb of ram and getting a free laptop.
No it wouldn't. You can buy 32gb all day long for about $100. So this price is bad. Old battery, damaged case, $460 with tax. They're offloading old damaged corporate stock

This is the laptop salesforce gives their developers. These are very powerful machines and are tanks. I had mine set up with 3 external 2k displays, 2 with the thunderbolt port using a USB c to dual hdmi dongle and 1 with the hdmi port. These run hot and the fans are aggressive. Battery life is a few hours but mine usually was plugged in so can't say for sure. I loved this design and recently got a new one. I may buy this, these are like $3-4k new since they are heavily warrantied but that means companies would have fixed anything while it was covered so I would feel comfortable with a refurb. 64GBs of ram is awesome for excel, csv, vscode files, and anything you can throw at it.
