Try this: next time you're out on the green, take a green golf ball. You'll find it better than a white one.

From the perspective of a crappy golfer who is regularly in the rough and searching for balls, in terms of visibility this is totally subjective but my view having tried out most of these colors:
-Drip Lime/Black - better than expected, but basically a less visible white.
-Drip Dark Green/Yellow - better than expected, but basically a less visible white.
-Neon Red - absolutely great on a fairway but gets lost very easily in shaded rough. Despite the seeming contrast with green I avoid this one
-Neon Lime - better than red in the rough, including shaded rough, but blends in more on fairway, I will use, but I find white or drip superior.
-Red/Orange - better than red, maybe. Depends on which side ends up visible. If it's the red side it's subject to the same complaints as the red. Not usable in fall with leaves on the course at all. Might as well just burn money if you're not a good golfer and using it in the fall.
-White - Better than every other color on here.
-Ice Blue - I don't understand why this is a color. Easily losable in the shade.
In short, the white and white-based (drip) balls are the best, followed by Lime Green. Orange is good too, but I can't recall if they make the Pros in it (not Red/Orange). I would avoid red and ice blue.
