Factory Unlocked Apple iPhone 16e 128GB White + Mandatory activation with Verizon + Lively SIM/eSIM 3 Months of Unlimited Service $399.99+tax FS Bestbuy

Steps to follow to get the deal:

1. Add Lively 3 Months Unlimited (https://www.bestbuy.com/product/l...ku/6617963 ) Gold sim/esim to cart $60 (will show up as $0 during checkout)
2. Add Apple iPhone 16e 128GB White (https://www.bestbuy.com/product/a...JJGCQG2GTF ) with the option "we will help you connect with a carrier". Choose Verizon and then new number (you can also choose to transfer a number but given that you are going to cancel it first thing new number is better). You will have to choose a plan (lowest I could see is $75/month - this along with the $40 activation fee will eventually be cancelled/refunded pro-rated).
3. Go through checkout and fill out verizon related info. Note down the account PIN you used as you might need it later during cancellation.
4. You can pick the phone up in the store. After pickup, setup verizon account with the new phone number.
5. Chat with CS to cancel the account. Activation fee is waived if cancelled within 3 days.
6. The phone is factory unlocked, sealed and ready to be used with any provider.

Personally, I don't do these activation deals at Best Buy but people have had better experiences. If you can make it work for yourself, its a great device for $400, especially being unlocked.

I don't get it. You're buying both Lively prepaid and a Verizon postpaid subscription?

Technically you don't need the Lively but it looks like when you add the phone it become free.

The lively sim kit is just an additional freebie as part of the combo

Great deal, getting two.

My gemini research suggests that BestBuy policy and their new Point of Sale system charges you the discount ($100 in this case) when you cancel Verizon line. I'm trying to find other data points in other SD threads to confirm this, but I think I'm going to hold off.

Anyone who tried this? Is it true BB will charge the additional 100$ if you cancel in under 3 days?

Unless something has changed as recently as May 2026, this approach of getting a $100 discount for adding a new line with Verizon (and immediately cancelling) has worked previously. There are many such deals posted on SD with steps to follow and feedback from other slick-dealers.
