I bought this or a similar brand last time. I had never had a ratchet belt before and I like them a lot!

I have multiple versions of these belts. My oldest son wears them as well. Have never had problems with them or the ratchet system. These are not real leather and probably not designed for the construction site. Great for business casual use.

Just buy the bigger one and trim it down more.

The pricing was like that last time too, I just bought the longer cheaper one and cut it.

I would advise you to avoid these. The material the belt is made of is super thick and not very flexible and wide which makes it hard to fit into some belt loops, especially the first loop which usually has to fit the belt twice because of overlap. Also the way to release the belt is the tiny tab on the side which is more difficult to use than the traditional buckle lift kind.

and they dont stay tight in other words the belt becomes un-ratched (if thats a word)
