Can't speak on the brand, but bought the ryobi version and let the haters hate these things are great for consistency and doesn't waste as much. Also makes it really easy if doing a large area.
Highly recommend.

I got the Ridgid one and have been thoroughly disappointed. Not sure if mine is defective or what but it snaps back/releases with even the slightest pressure and for some reason doesn't stop the flow when the trigger is released. Do you have any of these issues? It's the only one of these I've tried so I don't know what's normal.

My cordless caulk gun has been working flawlessly for over 30 years. I only charged it once, when I bought it because I didn't have cash. Smilie

Seems hard to justify for the average home owner.

The first one had trigger problem, so I returned it. The second one is OK, but trigger is kind of soft. Hopefully it will last. With manual gun you cannot have consistent flow, if you caulk more than several inches. Only electric one will give you consistent bed. Of course it is not dewalt or Milwaukee, so it is not for pro use. For $30 with 2 batteries it is worth it.

Used a manual caulk for years, it's fine for home use. I don't need an electric caulk to compensate for anything.
Cleaning up excess is the bigger skill.

I own this tool and it's solid. When releasing the trigger it pulls back the gear and pressure stops. Work with Makita batteries and fits in more places then my Ryobi tool like this that powered by 18v OnePlus batteries. I use it for roof tar and caulking siding and around bathtubs. Works great for that. The ryobi tool is built tougher so will this tool you need to be aware of how not to abuse it ..
