Hmm, I'd be surprised if it was often. I see it hit $399 in March of this year on Amazon, but appears to have sold out very quickly (same day), and it's been $635 on Amazon since then until May, when it started dropping. That's not HD, of course, but Amazon will often price match, so that's why I was looking at Amazon's price history. Anyway, $449 is the lowest price other than that drop on Amazon in the last year, so I hope it helps someone. 🙂

You can use the search function to confirm it didn't. It's popped up on Woot for cheap, oddly, but no idea how much stock. The very similar DWS779 does go on sale a lot for less, and a lot of people are fine with that one, which just doesn't have the shadow line.

You can get this saw for cheaper. Both Lowes and HD have had DWS780 on sale recently. I bought from HD for $408 PLUS an additional blade. Blade is worth $30 minimum on sale. But it's a value of $60 for y'all who miss the sales 🤗

Yep. I have a 7-1/4" that I use most of the time and a 10" that I use the rest of the time. This huge 12" just sits in the corner gathering dust. Even with the rolling stand, it's just too big to use regularly. Maybe someday I'll build it into a workbench.
