I gave up on Hilton Honors. Waaaaay too much devaluation in their program and too many bad stays in the last 2 years with absolutely no intervention from corporate after escalating. I'm not sure what has happened to that company but IMHO Marriott Bonvoy is a lot better. YMMV of course but sharing my opinion.

I've found Marriott to be better value internationally than Hilton

Their system typically counts a "stay" at any number of consecutive nights at a single property, regardless of whether you check out and check back in daily or do so just at the beginning and end of the trip to keep us from gaming the system with earning elite status. A total guess, but I image it will be the same with this promotion.
