I've bought a few and always gotten legit Milwaukee tools. Repair centers just check the serial - don't need receipts. As long as made in last 5 years repairs are covered.

If you buy from an authorized source, the warranty coverage starts when you buy it. If it's a legit product but grey market, they go by the manufacturer date which could be pretty old depending on how long it sat in a warehouse somewhere or, in the case of many products which were intended for another market, spending time on various cargo ships being shipped from one country to another to another.

Wondering the same too. Looking to purchase the M12 3/8" ratchet but can't seem to apply the $5 off. Weird that it shows up on the cart but not during check out.
