The Newport trolling motors are also on sale: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VYP3...title&th=1

One of those and a 12v Lithium Marine Battery ($100-200) and you're getting around the lake/marina without paddling for under $1k. 46lb trolling motor would definitely be enough for a full boat, 55lb if you want to fight some wind/current with more confidence.

Or you slap on the cheapest 2-stroke outboard you can find and you're pulling a tube at a pace that will excite grandma.

Florida is weird about these (maybe other states). If you even put as much as a trolling motor on it, you'll have to pay to register it, and keep paying every year. Make sure you factor that into the cost.

Yeah, the state-by-state registration laws are confusing. In Washington state, if it's under 16 feet and under 10HP, it doesn't have to be registered at all (on local waters). But in Idaho, the boat has to be registered and have an Invasive Species Boat Sticker (even paddleboards require the sticker). So if this is someone's first boat, they definitely need to check the rules both for where they live and where they're taking it. Fishing licenses, too.

I believe these particular boats come with a Hull Identification Number that you put into the Aqua Marina website to get your boat certificate for registry.

Does anyone know how big this is when delivered? I won't be able to use it for some time and don't have storage for it inflated.

Definitely a state by state thing. The reason they rate the transom for 9.9 HP and not 10 is specifically for that, as its the cutoff for lots of states rules.

I couldn't find the dimensions of the box, but here is a random Youtuber doing an unboxing (and eventually some modifications): https://youtu.be/TzcOQITBS5g?t=13

At the very start of the video, you can see the size of the box.

Nice. Aliexpress has outboards as low as about $800.

In cali I think once you hit 10hp you have to have a "boaters license". For cali anything with a motor is now a vessel and needs to be registered with annual tags.

would it handle the weight of motor plus gas? Sadly the 11' is limiting and so many fishermen have problems with them leaking, seams splitting. But Costco would be best if a return is needed. BTW, if you need extra room and a heavier made material, Boatstogo.com has many to choose from. I own 2 of their rafts and they are built strong with 5 year warranties. This 13' boat is going to be mine. Get out there and enjoy! http://www.boatstogo.com/13.8-inf...-sd415.asp Note that if you want to go cheap, small, but effective, the Intex Mariner 3 or Mariner 4 of which can be easily modded. Intex has the Mariner 3 blem with bimini top for $149. free shipping. Grab one!
